How to Check if my DOT Number is Active?
It is easy to keep your DOT number in active status
Busy with the day to day tasks it is easy to forgot important dates. As a start you need to understand how only by looking at the actual numbers of your DOT you can easily know when it is due for an update.
Your DOT is your calendar
Looking at the last 2 digits of your DOT will determine when is your MCS-150 due. This is the main compliance to keep your DOT in active status.
The last digit will tell you on which month your MCS-150 is due (1 for Jan, 2 for FEB…0 for OCR). The filling months goes as far as Oct.
Now that you know the month of your filing you can check the 2nd to last number of your DOT. As the filings of your DOT compliance are biennial, meaning they must be filed once in every 2 years, the 2nd to last number will tell you if your filling year is ODD or EVEN. For all even numbers (2, 4, 6..) you must file on every even numbered year (2022, 2024…). For all ODD numbers (3, 5, 7…) you will be required to file on all odd numbered years (2023, 2025, 2027…).
Keeping up with those dates will help you to keep your DOT in active status.
Our specialist will be happy to check the status of your DOT . And if your DOT is not in compliance, Do not worry they will support every step of the way until your DOT regains its active status.
