Frequently asked questions:

  • I submitted my application why it was not filed yet?
FMCSA has a specific timing requirement when the MCS-150 Biennial update needs to be filed. Example: If the last digit of the DOT number, for example, is 5 we will need to file the form during the month of MAY. If you submitted the application in April or earlier we will wait until May to process it unless it's outdated than we will file it right away and than we will refile it on MAY. Your application will be filed during the month it is due any time between the 1st until the 28th/30th/31st of the subject month depending on the 2nd to the last digit on your DOT Number.

You will need to refile it on the month the MCS-150/Biennial Update supposed to be file. If you filed with ACC our agents will file it on the month it is due by your DOT Number to keep you in compliance with FMCSA regulations, even if you filed early before your due month.
  • I just started to cross State lines what should I do?
You need to file the MCS-150 form /Biennial update to update your company operation classification to reflect the change to the INTERSTATE operation. You have to pay UCR fees every year. The fee will vary depending on your flee size. If your vehicle is over 26,000 lbs gross weight you need to create IFTA account with your state and pay fuel taxes. If you are authorized for hire you will need an MC# (operating authority), BOC-3 (blanket company), and adequate insurance coverage for cargo carried. You do not need MC number nor BOC-3 if you are private.
